Happy birthday little man. I figured that I'd write something specific about/to you in honor of your birthday. Today, you celebrated your birthday by wiping your poopy butt on the carpet in the living room and on the blanket on the sofa. Then, right before bed time, you decided to drop a load in the floor. Pottytraining you is tough! :D
Zander, you have certainly been one of the biggest struggles in my life, but you're also one of the most rewarding things in my life. As much as I love Owen and Lauralynn, they just can't make me smile like you do. You are a special spirit that was reserved for this time, and I can't help but feel that the Lord preserved you for us because you knew you were to be our child. You have such a vibrant personality, and you're so full of life. As frustrating as it is at times, it's so wonderful to see your inquisitive little face, and see that adorable smile of yours. You're so expressive, and so full of life, that it's an inspiration to all of us. You truly are the center of attention when you want to be, and we love you so much.
So, thank goodness the Terrible Twos are over, but I have this feeling that the Tortuous Threes are just about to begin. Happy Birthday to Zander Fielding Clark, my little ball of energy!
