Random stuff

SUPPOSEDLY, we have a MECA event tomorrow at Fort Campbell, and according to Steve, the BOSS people say it's still on, as they're military types... whatever. Oh well, I'll go, but I seriously doubt that they'll go through with the show. Middle Tennessee is in the midst of a Flood Watch and we're expecting between 3-5 inches of rain tomorrow, but we'll still have a MECA Show, I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I wanna do the show, as I can use the dinero, and Ft. Campbell is one of my favorite shows every year, but nobody needs to be handling electronic equipment when it's pouring (and if you look at that radar image, I think pouring will be what we'll be seeing tomorrow) and nobody wants to have a car show in the rain either (they have a car show sponsored by BOSS itself in addition to the MECA event).

In other news, we leave for Virginia Monday, though I'm hoping that we hear back from the people about the duplex before then. I called him today and talked to him, and he confirmed that our credit sucked like a Hoover, but I explained we were in the process of fixing it with the help of CCCS and that we REALLY liked them and felt like it would be a great fit. I really hope they can see past our irresponsible history and give us a chance. I feel VERY strongly that it's where we're supposed to live. I know we're supposed to get out of Smyrna, and I want a house-ish domicile again.

I worked on Q's car today, and put his front brake pads on. His car is acting very strange and I'm a little concerned about it, as it sounds and feels really bad. I'm not sure if it's tranny, motor or what, but it certainly doesn't sound healthy. I was glad to get mine back from him, and it feels as strong as ever. I think I got really lucky with this car, as it seems that the FM475 Cam has made a large difference in top end performance. I'd be really interested to see how a properly P&Ped and big valved head would do on the car, as the cam really opens the breathing up, up top.

I can't wait to be able to toss some money at the car again and put a cat on it for emissions (only) and then get my injectors and FPR. I really wanna see what this thing can do at 20+psi.
